Ways to help families after deadly Lincoln County wreck

BROOKHAVEN —A blood drive and GoFundMe have been started for a survivor of a fatal Lincoln County wreck last week. JoAnna Douglas, a 14 year old Enterprise Student, remains in the hospital and has a long road to recovery.

Douglas was the passenger in a fatal car crash on Mallileau Drive Thursday night. Karlie Burris, 18, died at the scene of the crash. Joanna’s mom Alisha Douglas said there is also a GoFundMe for the Burris family. She said they were all like an adopted family.

583 Nutrition will host a blood drive for Douglas on November 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 2644 MS 583, Bogue Chitto. The code to give towards Douglas is EL25. People can attend any blood drive near them and use the code EL25 as well.
