Moak signs with Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss.-Head coach Natalie Poole and the Southern Miss Softball program announced the addition of Madison Moak to the 2024 signing class Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles’ class includes Hannah Christian (Hoover, Ala./Hoover High School), Olivia Christian (Hoover, Ala./Hoover High School), Kayla Giardina (Kenner, La./Archbishop Chapelle High School), Carrie Green (Loganville, Ga./Grayson High School), Jolie Hays (Brandon, Miss./Northwest Rankin High School), Natalie Herrington (Petal, Miss./Pearl River Community College), Chloe Miller (Brandon, Miss./Northwest Rankin High School), Bella Ramon (Floresville, Texas/Floresville High School), Abbi Troquille (Tioga, La./Tioga High School), and now, Moak (Brookhaven, Miss./Copiah Lincoln Community College).

The Co-Lin outfielder impressed in her freshman campaign with the fifth most hits on the team (63), and 29 RBIs on a .426 batting average along with 51 runs and a team-best 21 stolen bases in 55 games played.

Moak was an integral part of the Lady Wolves’ 49-10 campaign in 2023 and helped Co-Lin to its first Region 23 Championship since 2008. Moak was one of five players on Co-Lin to be named to the All-Region 23 Team, playing in all six tournament games with one double, two home runs, six RBIs and five runs scored.

Moak helped lead Co-Lin to its first-ever national championship in the NJCAA Division II Softball World Series, where she was named to the All-Tournament Team.
