BROOKHAVEN — Severe weather knocked out power, destroyed a shed and damaged a home in Lincoln County Monday night but the power is starting to be restored. Linemen from Magnolia Electric, Southwest Electric and Entergy have been hard at work today restoring power in Southwest Mississippi.

Entergy reports 1,025 customers are without power but the number of customers without power in Lincoln County has dropped to nine. Power remains out for 973 customers in Copiah County.

Southwest Electric reports 200 customers remain without power. 10 of those are in Lincoln County and 29 customers in Copiah County are without power.

Magnolia Electric reports 84 customers remain without power but 83 of those are in Amite County and 1 is in Walthall County.
