MT ZION — Storms are destructive and yet so beautiful. Lightning sure put on a splendid show in northwest Lincoln County Monday night.

Speaking of lightning and electricity, power companies have worked hard to restore power to customers across Southwest Mississippi.

Southwest Electric Co-Op reports 719 customers are still without power as of 10:50 a.m. Tuesday. 68 of those customers without power are in Lincoln County and 234 customers are without power in Copiah County.

Entergy Reports 2,457 customers are without power statewide. 1,568 customers in Copiah County are without power and 186 customers are without power in Lincoln County.

Magnolia Electric reports 174 customers are without power. 42 customers in Lincoln County are without power and seven customers in Lawrence County are without power.
