BROOKHAVEN — Lincoln County is under a tornado watch Saturday afternoon. National Weather Service in Jackson warns of severe weather coming around 5 p.m.

Saturday’s tornado watch for Lincoln County is in effect until 12 a.m. Sunday. Other counties in Southwest Mississippi are under a tornado watch including Copiah, Franklin, Adams, Jefferson, Lawerence and Jefferson Davis Counties.

Strong gusty winds could cause damage with this forecasted severe weather along with golf ball sized hail and rain. Tornadoes are also possible.
