BROOKHAVEN — Thursday is the day for you if you like a nice breeze. National Weather Service in Jackson forecasts sustained winds of 5 to 10 mph and 25 mph wind gusts Thursday.

Temperatures will reach a high of 63 with partly sunny skies. Winds will be streaming in out of the east. Thursday night temperatures will drop off to a low of 42 with mostly clear skies.

Santa Claus is forecast to make a stop in Brookhaven today. Zaxyb’s shared the news that Santa would stop by between 1 and 3 p.m. Wednesday. Customers can stop by for chicken and pictures with Santa at 968 Brookway Boulevard.

Friday is expected to be nice and sunny. A high of 64 is expected with east wind at 5 mph and 25mph wind gusts. Lows will cool down to 45 degrees.

Saturday is expected to be a mostly cloudy day although rain chances will be around 40 percent. Sunday rain chances will also be 40 percent.
