BROOKHAVEN — Crisp and cool mornings are ahead. National Weather Service in Jackson warns of chances of frost this week.

Thankfully, the frost will not come until Wednesday night so you have time to prepare any plants. Tuesday is forecast to reach highs of 54 with sunny skies. Tuesday night will drop down to a low of 34. Wednesday is forecast to hit 59 degrees with mostly sunny skies and an ESE wind at mph.

Frost will form around 3 a.m. Thursday with a low of 34 degrees Wednesday night. Frost will remain patchy until 7 a.m. Thursday morning. Temperatures will warm up to 62 degrees Thursday and drop down to 42 Thursday evening.

Friday will be partly sunny. Rain will move in Saturday and Sunday with the greatest chances for rain being Saturday night through Christmas day. Rain chances on Christmas are at 60 percent with showers and a possible thunderstorm.
