BROOKHAVEN — Santa will have to fight wind and rain to deliver presents this Christmas. National Weather Service forecasts  Christmas  eve to be wet and windy.

Saturday night will cool off to a low of 54 and have a 40 percent chance of rain.

Showers are likely Sunday with a 100 percent chance of rain for Lincoln County. Temperatures will be at a high of 64 degrees and gusts of wind could hit 30 mph. Sunday night will cool to a low of 57 with a 100 percent chance of rain. Santa Clause might need a rain coat to deliver presents. He will also face 30 mph wind gusts with his sleigh and team of reindeer.

Christmas Day, Monday, will have a 20 percent chance of rain. The high will be 69 degrees before cooling off to a low of 41.
