BROOKHAVEN — It sure is chilly today and four local restaurants were cool and collected last Friday passing health inspections. The Mississippi Department of Health releases restaurant inspection ratings through an online database. 

Magnolia Blues, Bob’s Sandwich Shop on the Boulevard, Bo Bo Buffett and Serios Pizzeria aced the inspections at the end of last week. 

Bob’s Sandwich Shop on the Boulevard, located at 101 US 51 Unit 49 or by the Blue Sky, earned its second A rating since opening in 2023. Chef Erick Smith shared about his return home and plans for the Food Truck expansion of Bob’s Sandwhich Shop, in downton Brookhaven, in June. 

Magnolia Blues, located at 218 S. Whitworth Avenue offers tasty barbecue and ice cold beer paired with music. It passed its fifth straight health inspection with an A, the first one came in 2021. 

Serios Pizzeria earned an A rating as well. Located at 216 S. Whitworth Avenue, Serios has earned seven A ratings from MSDH since the first inspection in 2020. It would have had a streak of A ratings had it not been for a B rating in January 2023. 

Bo Bo’s Buffett, a Chinese buffet restaurant off of Brookway Boulevard, earned an A rating. It is located at 1211 Brookway Boulevard. Bo Bo’s earned its fourth straight A rating and 11th A rating since 2016.
