Rep. Vince Mangold introduces resolution to recognize Co-Lin softball for national championship

Photo by Co-Lin Sports Info The Copiah-Lincoln Wolves captured the 2023 NJCAA Softball National Championship in May with a 7-0 win over Jones College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The title is the first-ever national championship in Co-Lin's history.

JACKSON —Vince Mangold, currently serving Lincoln County in the Mississippi House of Representatives, introduced a house resolution to recognize the Co-Lin Softball team for success last year. Co-Lin claimed the NJCAA national championship for softball in 2023.

Mangold introduced House Resolution 14 Wednesday to commend the softball team for winning the NJCAA Division II Softball Championship. It was the first national championship for Co-Lin in any sport according to the resolution. 

The resolution additionally recognizes the individual players and coaches who made up the championship team. HR14 was referred to the rules committee for the Mississippi House of Representatives.
