Rain moving in this weekend

BROOKHAVEN — It has been a beautiful week of weather but it looks like this weekend will be a wet one. According to the National Weather Service, Friday has a 20 percent chance of rain which builds into the weekend. 

The rain could be enough to move northwest Lincoln County out of abnormally dry conditions according to the National Drought Monitor Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. Most of Lincoln County has moved out of dry conditions according to the center. 

Scattered showers are expected Friday night with a 30 percent chance of rain. Saturday will have a 60 percent chance of rain with rainfall expected to be between a tenth and quarter inch of rain. High temperatures will be around 70 but fall to 55 degree lows.

Saturday night will have an 80 percent chance of rain and rainfall amounts between a quarter inch to a half inch. Wind gusts will reach speeds as high of 20 mph. 

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue into Sunday with an 80 percent chance of rain. Super Bowl Parties may be relegated to indoors with the rain. Wind speeds will be between 10 to 15 mph and gusts at 20 mph. 

Isolated showers are expected to move in on Monday but there is only a 20 percent chance of rain.
