Dewayne Pell, 58, passed away February 21, 2024. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Monday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. A graveside service will be 1pm Monday at Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dewayne loved doing outdoor chores and going to his sisters to eat good food she cooked for him, especially on holiday. He also enjoyed going to the movies with his nephew T J and working on vehicles with his brother Michael. He loved his family. He is going to be dearly missed.

Dewayne worked for Walmart Distribution for 10 years and was currently working for Safe Security as a security guard for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Pell; uncle, Ronnie Woods; niece, Stephanie Elkins; and brother, Shane Lewis. He is survived by his mother, Linda Pell; sister, Debbie Elkins (Tommy) of Brookhaven; brother, Michael Pell (Donna) of Brookhaven; and nephew, T J Elkins of Brookhaven.
