BROOKHAVEN — The bunny hop is coming to Brookhaven Easter weekend but not the song and respective dance traditional for Loyd Star students. Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce is partnering with over 20 participating retailers for a fun weekend of shopping. 

The bunny hop event will start March 28 and run until March 30 in Brookhaven. Check back for more details about the event as it gets closer. 

 

Local company reading

Lincoln-Lawrence-Franklin Regional Library will host storytime Wednesday at 10 a.m. Rex Lumber in Brookhaven will host the local story team to teach children about baby trees and planting seeds. 

The library will host their regular storytime Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. The barbie society will also meet on March 26. 

 

Ribbon Cutting Friday

Knockout Salon and Spa will celebrate a ribbon cutting Friday at 2 p.m. The salon is located at 506 US51 South. A grand opening event is planned for the day from 1 to 5 p.m. 

Chair massages, refreshments, piercings and $25 spray tans will be offered at the celebration. The Skin District Wellness Spa will offer discounted botox services and Southern Sparkle Jewelry will be there as a pop-up vendor. Anyone interested in the botox services will need to call and make an appointment first at 601-990-2220. 

Marlana Weeks and Valerie DeLozier are the new owners of the business. 

 

Taste of the Trust

Brookhaven’s annual event Taste of the Trust is coming up. The event will be on April 4 at Ole Towne Church from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets for the event can be purchased online, from a Brookhaven Trust member or at the door on the night of the event for $35. 

According to the Chamber of Commerce, there will be over 20 different restaurants featured on April 4.
