Sarah Lu Flowers-Boling, 81, of East Lansing Michigan, passed away on March 10th. She was preceded by her parents, Aubrey and Wanda Flowers, of Brookhaven, MS, and her brother and sister, Jimmy Flowers and Betty Russell of Winnfield, LA.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Boling III of Las Vegas, & Fred Boling of Bath, Mi., and her two grandchildren, Michelle Boling-Macek and Matthew Boling.

She loved teaching and did so for most of her career. She received her Doctorate of Education from Michigan State University. She loved gardening. You could give her a dead twig and she would have it blooming by Spring. She was an avid reader. She never needed a holiday to send you a gift and she always knew how to make you laugh. The last 22 years of her life, she was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous. She will be missed by many.
