Troop M worked three wrecks in Lincoln County Thursday

LOYD STAR — Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M worked three wrecks in Lincoln County Thursday, two of them resulting in injuries. The first accident was called in Thursday morning and others were on Thursday evening. 

MHP reported the accident Thursday morning was called in at 7:25 a.m. Loyd Star Volunteer Fire Department and KDMC were dispatched to the three vehicle wreck with injuries in front of Loyd Star Attendance Center on MS-550. Injuries in the wreck were minor. 

At 7:25 p.m., a wreck with injuries was called in Lincoln County. The wreck was on US51 near Old St. John Road and was a one vehicle wreck with injuries. Brookhaven Fire Department, New Sight Volunteer Fire Department and KDMC were dispatched to the scene. MHP Troop M Cpl. Craig James said the passenger was airlifted to UMMC with serious injuries.

At 11:35 p.m. a one vehicle wreck with no injuries was reported in Lincoln County on I55 in the northbound lane at Mile Marker 36. Bogue Chitto Volunteer Fire Department and KDMC were dispatched.
