BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health issued “A” ratings for a dozen restaurants, schools and other establishments in Brookhaven last week. Health inspections are published on an online database and show one local restaurant has 20 straight “A” ratings.

Poppa’s Fish House, located at 204 US51 North, earned its 20^th-straight “A” rating since 2012.

Burger King, located at 778 Brookway Boulevard, earned an “A” rating for the fifth straight time. It is the business’ sixth “A” rating since 2019. Mamie Martin Elementary School’s Cafeteria earned an “A” rating for the 17^th-straight time since 2013.

Ole Brook Snow Cone and Snack Shack earned an “A” rating for the second-straight time since opening in 2023. The stand is located at 764 Industrial Park Road. Snowhaven, located at 307 US 51 North, earned an “A” rating for the ninth-straight time since 2016.

DLT, listed as a mobile unit, earned an “A” rating for the 11^th-straight time since 2013. P.K’s Quick Mart, located at 410 Main St., earned an “A” rating for the third-straight time. P.K.’s has eight “A” ratings since 2016.

Spartan Barbel and Fitness, located at 1037 US 84 E, earned an “A” rating for the second-straight time since opening. The Shack at 550, now known as Melba’s Place, earned an “A” rating for the second-straight time since 2023. The restaurant is located at 933 MS-550 and has six “A” ratings listed since 2020.

Mitchell’s Special Events and Catering, located at 1203 Hampton Drive, earned an “A” rating for the 15^th-straight time since 2016. The Clubs at Old Brook earned an “A” rating for the fourth-straight time. The Club is located at 640 Country Club Road.

Lounge 139, located at 139 East Chippewa St., earned an “A” rating for the second-straight time since 2023.
