OXFORD — Great news has arrived via email from Oxford Wednesday morning. A pair of Brookhaven High School tennis doubles pairs won a MHSAA 5A Individual State Championship today.

Allie Grace McNeil and Annie Stewart won a state championship in girls doubles. They played their match at 10 a.m. this morning.

Cohen Leggett and Caroline Kilpatrick won a state championship in mixed doubles. They too played their match at 10 a.m. this morning.

Bogue Chitto Head Coach Chase Wallace reported that seniors Jax Leggett and Andrew Merrell will play for a state championship in MHSAA Class I Boys Doubles at 1 p.m. against a pair from Resurrection. They beat out a pair from Pisgah in the semifinals 6-0, 6-4.
