BROOKHAVEN — A bright sun shining day provided a beautiful morning for the Brookhaven Counseling Group, located at 519 West Monticello Street by Friends Kitchen, to celebrate a ribbon cutting. Co-Owners Erin King, Bobbie Gordon and Brandie Kohn were able to see a vision come to reality.

Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce President Garrick Combs welcomed everyone on behalf of the chamber.

“We are thrilled to be here and we had the weather move through. It is a perfect day for pictures,” Combs said.

Gordon thanked everyone for coming. She said the move to counseling in the private sector and moving from offices on Railroad Avenue to the new space was not something any of them saw coming.

“We have a lot of people to thank. We thank God for having us here and giving us those abilities to provide a sanctuary for people who have struggles,” Gordon said. “We try to meet their needs and where they are. We are blessed. We love the Brookhaven area and we can be objective and at peace here. Thank you to the girls at the chamber. They have been so kind to me over the years.”
