Severe storms pose marginal threat Friday

BROOKHAVEN — National Weather Service in Jackson warns of severe storms coming Friday. The storms could pose a marginal threat to Brookhaven and Lincoln County.
Isolated storms are possible, damaging wind gusts could come with the storms along with hail up to a quarter in size. Timing of the storms could be between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
There is a 30 percent chance of rain Wednesday could keep temperatures at a high of 92 and a low of 68 The showers could come after 1 p.m. Rain chances pick up to 40 percent tonight
Thursday has a 50 percent chance of rain. Otherwise, it will be partly sunny with a high of 86 and a calm wind reaching 5 mph. Low temperatures Thursday could get down to 66.
Friday has a 50 percent chance of rain during the day and 30 percent chance at night. NWS Jackson forecasts the high Friday to be 86 with a low of 67.
The best chance of rain comes Saturday and Sunday with 60 percent and 50 percent chances of rain.
