BROOKHAVEN — Six out of seven Lincoln County establishments recently inspected by the Mississippi Department of Health passed with “A” ratings. Restaurant inspections are recorded in an online database on the department of health website. 

Tita’s Snowballs, located at 1811 MS 550, has not received a rating yet but was granted a new construction permit. It is categorized as a flavored ice/snoball establishment according to department of health records. 

Taste and See Cakes and Catering earned an “A” rating for the 8th straight time since 2020. The permit address is listed as 2838 Summit Drive NW. 

Another snow cone stand passed a health inspection this week. The Snow Shack 5 LLC, located at 970 West Lincoln Drive SW, earned an “A” rating for the third straight time since 2022. 

McDonalds, located at 952 Brookway Boulevard, earned an “A” rating for the second straight time. Since 2016, the fast food icon has earned 12 “A” ratings and two “B” ratings. 

The Crouton, located at 103 South Railroad Avenue, earned an “A” rating for the eighth straight time since 2020. It is the ninth A rating for the restaurant since 2020. 

Georgia Blue, located at 107 South Railroad Avenue, earned an “A” rating for the 12th straight time since 2018. 

OEC Japanese Express, located at 958 Brookway Boulevard Suite G, earned an “A” rating for the 17th straight time. 

Friends Kitchen, located at 505 West Monticello Street, earned a “B” rating for the fourth straight time since 2022. 

Smitty’s Place, located at 452 ½ Rogers Street, earned an “A” rating for the fourth straight time since 2022. It is the 13th “A” rating since 2016.
