LAKE LINCOLN — Lincoln County Engineer Ryan Holmes gave an update on a project to correct flooding issues near Lake Lincoln. Heavy rainfall inundates private property, the roadway and bridge on Lake Lincoln Road before it runs into Sunset Road. 

A landowner had complained the lake at Lake Lincoln State Park was responsible for flooding of a creek on their property and a bridge crossing on Lake Lincoln Road. At a February meeting, Holmes said the lake’s levels had not risen since 2017. 

Lincoln County Board of Supervisors heard an update on the project Monday morning. Boundary surveys and a topographic survey using lidar are complete, Holmes said. He added he is working on a drawing for a remedy to the problem.
