Funeral Services for Byron E. Brown of Summit are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Andrew Mayhan and the Rev. Billy Joe Deer will officiate. Pallbearers are Brad Brown, Bryant Brown, Lewis Brown, Dustin Dickerson, Shane Lofton and Jerry Burkett. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Dickerson, Neil Allred, Mike Albritton, Edward Bobkoskie, Mike Brown and Dirk Porter. Catchings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of service at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Mr. Brown, 58, died Aug. 16, 2014, at Country Brook Nursing Home. He was born on July 15, 1956, in McComb to Earl and Laverne Dickerson Brown of Bogue Chitto.

He was a retired truck driver and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Lenzia and Eula Clark Brown and maternal grandparents, Van and Eunice Bigner Dickerson.

Survivors are his parents; two sons, Bryant Brown of Bogue Chitto and Todd Brown of DeKalb; one daughter, Lori Brown of Bogue Chitto; one brother, Lewis Brown of Bogue Chitto; three sisters, Judith Dykes of McComb, Rita Bobkoskie and husband, Edward, of Bogue Chitto and Leslie Albritton and husband, Mike, of Summit; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
