Funeral Services for Webster Ray Reid of Jayess are 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Powell’s Grove United Pentecostal Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at 5 p.m. and continues on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Reid, 90, died Feb. 24, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 23, 1924, to James Hardin Reid and Beatrice Hall Reid.

Mr. Reid worked as a crane operator in the oil field, and he also served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a Corporal in the 734th Antiaircraft Artillery Gun Battalion in Southern Philippines and Luzon. He received the ATO medal, APTO medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star, good conduct medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was a master mason and a member of Powell’s Grove United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; first wife, Laura Mae Davis; his second wife, Daisy Bonnell Thames; son, Jimmy Ray Reid; son-in-law, Clint Ikner; granddaughter, Regina Reid Lott; grandson, Devenny Ikner; and brothers, Lester Reid and Dennis Reid.

Survivors are his sons, Danny Joe Reid and Steve D. Reid; daughters, Barbara Ratcliff, Lynda Carpenter, Linda Ann Ikner; brother, Joe D. Reid and wife, Mildred, of Lebanon, Missouri; sister, Frances Reid Dunaway of Jayess; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
