Funeral Services for Raymond Sonnier of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was Monday, March 9, 2015, from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mr. Sonnier, 73, died March 7, 2015, at his residence. He was born on June 29, 1941, to Willie (Willford)Sonnier and Emma Fruge Sonnier.

He was a heavy equipment mechanic. Mr. Sonnier served his country in the United States Army, and he was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Sidney Sonnier and Lawrence Sonnier; and step-son, Steve Brewer.

Survivors are his wife, Beverly Sonnier; sons, Kirby Sonnier, Daniel Sonnier, Anson Brewer; daughters, Tina Smith, Debra Brewer Smith, Becky Brewer Barron; brother, Loubert Sonnier; sisters, June Hornung, Diana Bishop, Helen Stine; 14 grandchildren, Nicole Sonnier, Brandon Smith, Meagan Sonnier, Emilee Locklin, Stevi Stein, Kimbra Smith, Bailey Smith, Adam McGuffee, Kristen McGuffee, Kyle James, Jeremy James, Morgan Barron, Sydney Jones and Will Brewer; and 17 great-grandchildren.
