Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Geneva Jordan Hux will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, April 7 at Riverwood.

Mrs. Hux, 85, of Sontag died April 5, 2015. She was born Sept. 6, 1929 to Eddie U. Jordan and Emily Mae Skaggs Jordan. She was a garment factory worker at Kellwood. She made quilts and loved sewing and crochet. She was a member of Wellman Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.C. Hux; parents; sisters, Hattie Mae Jordan, Irene Boswell, Lore Dell Keen and Earline Sharon; brothers, James Jordan and Elmer Jordan; son-in-law, Johnny Roy Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Hallie and Jesse Smith.

She is survived by her sons, Cletis Hux and wife, Karen, of Birmingham, Alabama, Ronnie Hux and wife, Sherry, of Brookhaven; daughters, Georgia Fay Howell and husband, Buford, of Jayess, Gail Rasmussen and husband, Klaus, Delilah Spencer and husband, Perry, Bonnie Terrell and husband, Bruce, Debbie Sills, Brenda Smith and husband, Benjie, all of Brookhaven; brother, Joe Jordan and wife, Betty, of Brookhaven; sister Thelma Delaughter Wilkinson and husband, J.M.; 31 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
