Funeral services for Clement A. “C.A.” Farr are Monday, May 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Fair River Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements. Pastor Jay Anderson will officiate.

Visitation is Sunday, May 24, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Farr, 88, of Brookhaven, died on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born Sept. 17, 1926 in Hinds County to Joe N. and Belle White Farr.

He was a member of Fair River Baptist Church.

He proudly served his country as a tech sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in 1952-1953. After returning home, he had a long and successful career of over 30 years with Allstate Insurance Company before retiring in 1988.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers Joseph W. Farr and Robert O. Farr.

Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Lorraine Maxwell Farr of Brookhaven; sons, Lt. Col. Russ Farr, USAF (retired) and Murray Farr and his wife, Paula, all of Bella Vista, Arkansas; daughter Mary Farr Campbell and her husband, Mike, of Brookhaven; three grandsons, Joe Farr and his wife, Rachele, and their children John Paul and Carly Beth; Matt Farr and his wife, Natalie, and their children Abigail and Maileigh; and Tim Farr and his wife Lorelei; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Emily Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews and many, many friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Fair River Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3698 Fair River Dr. NE, Brookhaven, MS 39601 or The Baptist Children’s Village P. O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060.
