Funeral services for Glenda Sue Smith will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015 at Riverwood.

Mrs. Smith, 66, of Brookhaven, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was born May 5, 1949, to Lenwood E. Smith and Cora Mary Smith.

Glenda was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  Her children and grandchildren were very special to her as well as taking care of others and teaching them to be more Christ like. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where she loved working with the kids.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Stacey Smith; parents; sister, Marilyn Smith; brothers-in-law, Billy Joe Smith and Hillary Dean Smith; father and mother-in-law, Jaudon and Catherine Smith; maternal grandparents, Joe and Lena Burch; and paternal grandparents, Ivan and Allie Smith.

Survivors are her husband, James E. Smith; son, Jeff Smith (Melissa); daughter-in-law, Sandra Smith; brother, Sherman Smith (Linda); sister, Paula McGowen (Keith); 3 grandchildren, Hannah Smith, Hollie Smith and Heidi Smith; numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins that will dearly miss her.
