Funeral services for Peggy Ruth Ellzey will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. 

Visitation is from 5 until 9 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at Riverwood.

Mrs. Ellzey, 77, of Brookhaven, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at St. Luke Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was born March 11, 1938, to James Herbert Waldrop and Bessie Adams Waldrop. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Waldrop, Tommy Waldrop, Charles Waldrop, Jessie Waldrop and Edward Waldrop; and sisters, Jean Waldrop Upton and Kate Waldrop Reeves.

Survivors are her husband, Clyde Ellzey Sr.; sons, Clyde Everett Ellzey Jr. and wife, Judy, of Natchez and Wilton Kyndl Ellzey and wife, Sjhira, of Nashville, Tennessee; daughter, Kristi Tarkenton and husband, Thomas, of Lynchburg, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Adrienne Forman and husband, Alex, Rebecca Ellzey, Abby Ellzey, Garran Williams, Cameron Hafner, Dylan Hafner, Adele Tarkenton and Aidyn Tarkenton.
