Gregory and Rita Smith, of McCall Creek, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Melody Marie Smith, of Brookhaven, to Codi Lamar Nations, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Anthony and Jodi Nations, of Hazlehurst, and Lena Price, of DeQueen, Arkansas.

She is the granddaughter of the late Nita Pearl Wilson, of Hazlehurst, the late David Wilson, of Meadville, the late Mildred L.G. Smith and the late Vernon H. Smith, of Crosby.

He is the grandson of the late Gloria Nations and the late Lamar Nations, of Brookhaven, the late Owen Taylor, of DeQueen, the late Lorena Peck Taylor, of Horatio, Arkansas, and the late Maragret Peggey Lane, of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center.

The prospective groom is a 2012 graduate of West Lincoln Attendance Center. He is currently employed with Greenbriar Digging Service.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Bude. A reception will follow.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
