Graveside services for Josephine Irene Rials Thames, of Amite, Louisiana, formally of Lawrence County, will be Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Pentecostal Church Cemetery near Jayess. Crane Funeral Home in Franklinton, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thames, 85, died Monday, Oct.24, 2016, at 10:40 a.m. at Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton, Louisiana. Mrs. Thames enjoyed listening to her favorite gospel music and also had a very special doll collection. She loved to sew and had made numerous clothes and quilts for her family. She also liked to care for her many pet such as her cats, dogs, goat, rabbit and bird.

Preceding her in death her husband, Prentiss Ford Thames; two sons, Dale Thames, Larry Thames, a sister, Helen Johnson, and, a brother Eric Lee Rials.

Survivors are her three daughters and a son-in-law, Judy T. and George Holmes of Franklinton, Louisiana, Virginia T. Ferguson of Amite, Louisiana, and Theresa T. Cooper of Franklinton, Louisiana; son, Roger Thames of Franklinton, Louisiana, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
