Funeral services for Robert Gibson, of Brookhaven, are Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Shiloh Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Gibson, 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Diversicare Nursing Home in Brookhaven. He was born Aug. 30, 1934, to R.D. Gibson and Myrtle Smith Gibson. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Alcus J. Gibson.

Survivors are his one sister, Maggie Lena Lea (Robert), of Monticello; a host of nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Sandy Terry, Glen Cliburn and Bryant Johnston.

The family would like to thank the friendly, caring staff of Diversicare Nursing Home for all they have done for Robert.
