Marsha Jean Miller Bardwell

A memorial service for Marsha Jean Miller Bardwell, of Bogue Chitto, will be held Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, from 2 until 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb, is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bardwell, 65, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, in Pike County. She was born May 24, 1952, in Walthall County, to Walter Ray Miller and Prudia Mae Townsand Miller. She was a homemaker who loved gardening and canning.  She collected many items, which included hummingbirds and Indian relics.

She is preceded in death by her father; husband, Floyd Ray Bardwell; a son, James A. Bardwell, her companion, Virgil Magee; daughter-in-law Angela Driggers; four sisters, Joyce Miller Martin, Latta Watson, Renita Carter and Stephanie Johnson; and several grandchildren.

Survivors are her mother; three children, Kenneth Ray Bardwell (Rotonia), of Pascagoula, Ruby Wallace (Kurt), of Bogue Chitto, and Quintin Bardwell, of Bogue Chitto; two sisters, Catherine Powell (Rickey), of Pinola, and Ruth Hamilton (Mack), of Florence; a special friend who was raised as a daughter, Catherine Stacey Oakes Rhines, of Washington state; grandchildren, Zachary R. Bardwell, Timothy Williams, Kenneth Bardwell, Jesse James Bardwell, Brentaja Bardwell, Shane Bardwell, Matthew Wallace, Peyton Wallace and Kelsey Wallace; a lifetime friend, Karen Williamson, of Bogue Chitto, and numerous other friends and relatives.
