Funeral services for Brandon Kirk Smith, of Brookhaven, are Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 28, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 40, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, in Lawrence County. He was born Sept. 25, 1976. He was a certified HVAC & R and electrical technician. He worked as a Department of Defense (DoD) civilian contractor from 2000 to 2010, supporting the United States military and allied forces at various camps located throughout Kuwait.

He was also a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union-UA Local 619. He was the last owner of Ms. Bea’s Restaurant and owner/operator of Tropical Sno. He loved fishing at Fair River and spending time with his family. He enjoyed attending auctions and garage sales, entrepreneurship was his passion. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his father, Charles E. Smith; grandfather, Jesse C. Smith; and grandparents KC and Lucy Beeson.

Survivors are his dear wife Ana Smith; two children, Plez Levi Smith and daughter, Marina Ann Smith; mother, Jo Ann Beeson Smith; brothers, Eric Smith and wife Amie and Shane Smith and wife DeShanna; grandmother, Annie Mae Smith; seven nephews and four nieces.
