Funeral services for Katy L. Linder, of Columbus, Georgia, will be today, Sept. 28, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at Pinehurst Baptist Church, in Columbus, Georgia. A committal service will follow at Fort Benning’s Main Post Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Tony Dickerson and Chuck Fletcher will officiate the services. Dignity Memorial in Columbus, Georgia, are in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Linder, 83, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, under the loving care of Kinder Hospice. She was born July 3, 1934, in Brookhaven, to her late parents Perlie and Bertha Lofton. She was a former sales manager, customer service manager and retail manager at Fort Benning’s PX for over 22 years. She loved to read, work crossword puzzles. She watched CNN, The Weather Channel and SEC football. She loved her cats (Cleo and Honey Punkin) and was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Linder; sister, Winnie Belle Hall; and brother, Zeke Lofton.

Survivors are her daughter, Patricia Linder, of Cochran, Georgia; son, Gordon (Lisa) Linder, of Alpharetta, Georgia; nieces, Sandra (Rudy) Pope, Suzette (Jimmy) Durr, and Gail (Mike) Kimble; nephew, Mike (Donna) Lofton; caregiver, Debra Jones; neighbors and friends, Mathilde Graves and Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher.
