Funeral services for Barbara Ann Hux, of Brookhaven, will be Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial in the Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson. Bro. Anthony Yarborough and Bro. Jamie Wallace will officiate.

Visitation will be today, Nov. 14, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. and will resume Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hux, 67, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven, with her loving family by her side. She was born Nov. 21, 1949, in Hazlehurst to Berry F. and Mary Maude Mullins Bridges.

Mrs. Hux worked for many years as a cook and cashier. She was a member of Pearlhaven Baptist Church and enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, James Delton Wallace Jr. and James Poz Hux; daughter, Theresa Ann Wallace Norris; stepson, James Peanut Hux; brother, Charlie Berry Bridges; and grandson, Zachary Rivers Norris.

Survivors are her sons, Bro. Jamie Wallace and wife Kim of Roxie, Darron Wallace and wife Heather of Brookhaven, and Tootlum Hux and wife Melissa of Brookhaven; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; special friend and roommate, Mildred Smith; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Ryan Wallace, Cole Wallace, Andrew Norris, Hunter Hux, Michael Chase Norris, Trace Wallace, Brock Wallace, Austin Norris and Blake Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Hux’s name to Pearlhaven Baptist Church.
