A memorial gathering for James Earl Hutson, of Bogue Chitto, is Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, from 2 until 4 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Hutson, 91, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017. He was born April 19, 1926, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He served in the United States Navy for 23 years, (1943-1966), as electrician’s mate, and achieved the rank of chief petty officer, E-9. He also worked at Kellwood Company in McComb until his retirement in 1990. His favorite hobbies were camping in his RV, playing cards and repairing things around the house. He took great joy spending time with his great-grandchildren, especially Jack and Palmer Hutson and Grayson and Matthew Beyl. His smile and cheerful attitude will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy L. Hutson; father, Thomas Ford Hutson; mother, Floye Hart Davis; and one sister, Winnie Ruth Emmons.

Survivors are his sons, Bruce Hutson and wife, Darlene, and Greg Hutson and wife, Sharon; daughter, Rhonda Little and husband, Tom; sister-in-law, Gale Smith; six grandchildren, Michael Hutson, Barbara Beyl, Christina West, Jonathan Savell, Jennifer Hutson and David Hutson; and 13 great- grandchildren.
