Funeral services for Aillene Case Tompkins, of Edwards, formerly of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, with graveside and burial at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Edwards.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tompkins, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Junior College and had retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1994 after 30 years.

She was a member of the Warrenton Baptist Church in Vicksburg but had attended Bovina Baptist Church for several years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Newman Tompkins, parents, Lamar and Natalie Newell Case; daughter, Joni Tompkins McMillin; son, Robert Daniel Tompkins; granddaughter, April Tompkins Roskowski; great- granddaughter, Kara Leigh Darby; two great-grandsons, Gavin and Gunner Tompkins; and two brothers, Lamar Case Jr., and Michael Carey Case.

Survivors are her three sons, Robert Gregory Tompkins (Teeny), of Utica, Timothy Clay Tompkins (Pam), of Newman, and Russ Noel Carraway (Denise), of Utica; two grandchildren, Robert Gregory Tompkins Jr., of Wesson, and Robin McBroom Smith (Dustin), of Vicksburg; great-grandchildren, Kaden Roskowski, Anna Shea Carraway; brothers Gannon and Kentley Tompkins, and Bass Smith; four sisters, Bettye Lewis, of Belles, Texas, Mary Sue James,bof Henrietta, of Texas, Shirley Freeman and Jeanette Thomae, of Brookhaven; and one brother, Dennis Carol Case, also of Brookhaven.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Lewis, Chris Case, Danny Smith, Justin Case, Tony James, Delynn James and Bill Walker Jr.
