Graveside service for Lela Mae Stephens Cupit, of Brookhaven, is today, Jan. 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Cupit, 90, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, in Brookhaven. She was born June 2, 1927, to J.B. and Eva Gorman Stephens in Winnsboro, Louisiana. She was a sweet lady who loved to serve and care for others. During her working career, she served as a nurse. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Earl Cupit; son, Robert Earl Cupit Jr.; grandson, Stephen Patrick Cupit; two brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors are her son, Billy Pat Cupit and wife Linda; sister, Bessie Hayden; grandson, Charles Robert Cupit; and four great-grandchildren.
