David and Amanda Jordan were united in matrimony in a private ceremony by Rev. Van Windom at West McComb Baptist Church, McComb, on Dec. 30, 2017. The couple was accompanied by Amparo Horton and William Burris. The couple expresses special thanks to Denise Windom, who sang “He Will Carry You,” to Ed May and Matt Jordan for assistance with additional music, and Jodie McCaffrey for photography.

Following the ceremony, a dinner reception was held at The Caboose Restaurant in McComb.

David retired from the United States Navy after 20 years of service. His last transfer took him to Virginia where he established his home with his late wife in the town of North.  Amanda resides in Mississippi where she is employed with First Bank, McComb.

The couple will presently share their homes in both Virginia and Mississippi. Having known each other over 30 years ago, the couple reconnected three years ago by telephone to share a mutual business interest. They have kept their focus on God to direct their paths throughout their relationship. Their motto has been and continues to be: We do not know what the future holds but we know who holds the future, always remembering “Let go and let God.”

The following Bible verse was read during their wedding ceremony, from Philippians 4:6 — “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
