Funeral services for John Ashley Bennett, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Bennett, 42, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at his residence. He was born Jan. 26, 1976, to Julius Leon Bennett Jr. and Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Bennett. He was a member of Southway Baptist Church, and he enjoyed the outdoors and sports. He also had a heart for animals. He was a chef by trade, but he loved to be on a tractor. He loved his friends and family.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Higdon Bush and Mr. and Mrs. Julius L. Bennett.

Survivors are his parents; sister, Shannon D. Bennett; and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.
