Funeral services for Marvin Leon White, of Bogue Chitto are Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be today, June 6, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Saturday, July 7, 2018, from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. White, 81, Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at his residence. He was born May 1, 1937, to the late Everette Leon White and Mary Strickland White. He served in the United States Army and was owner/operator of Brookhaven Chainsaw for 40 years. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a Gideon and a 32nd degree Mason. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Jonathan White; sister, Juanita Golmon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, L.H. and Harriet Griffith.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn Griffith White; sons, Kevin White and wife, Vicki, Kirk White and wife, Theresa, Korey White and wife Crystal, Kerry White and wife, Leah; daughters, Karen Castilaw and husband, Randy and Kim Thibodeaux and husband, Robbie; brother, Robert “Bob” White; sisters, Katie Nell Smith and Doris Winborne; nine grandchildren, Michelle Thibodeaux, Brooks White, Kati Smith, Drew White, Landon White, Tony Blair, Mary Claire White, Toby White and Cassie White; and four great-grandchildren.

Donations can be given in his memory to the Gideons International, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Salvation Army.
