Trey and Amy Carley, of Columbia, announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter Greta Carley to Zachary Lee Smith.

He is the son of Juan and Rachel Smith of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ted and Jerry Carley of Columbia, and Linda Pipes of Vicksburg.

She is a 2015 graduate of Columbia Academy and a 2018 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in integrated marketing communications, and a minor in business administration.

She is pursuing a career in marketing.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Juanita Smith of Brookhaven, the late Thomas Smith, Leonard Smith of Brookhaven and the late Connie Smith. 

He is a 2014 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2018 graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe with a degree in biology, and a minor in chemistry.

He is attending dental school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Columbia.

A reception will follow. The couple will reside in Jackson.
