Graveside services for David R. Norton, of Brookhaven, are Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Church of Christ Cemetery in Brookhaven. Bro. John Smith will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Norton, 85, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2018, at the G.V. “Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born April 3, 1933, to James E. Norton and Eunice Smith Norton. He served his country as Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force for four years in Korea and England. He was retired as a professional truck driver with Jacobsen Manufacturing. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Maxine (Ernest) Kimble; and brother, James Edwin Norton.

Survivors are his nephew, Randy Kimble (Janet); nieces, Dianne (Nick) Rials and Brenda Pound; and special companion and caregiver, Jan Woodward.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his neighbors Willie and Roger Diggs and Patricia Case, as well as special friend Sandy and Jerry Smith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in David R. Norton’s name may be made to Batson Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
