Funeral services for Paul Applewhite, of Caseyville, are Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at New Hope United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with burial at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery. Bro. Landon Smith will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Dec. 1, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Applewhite, 88, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb. He was born June 9, 1930, in Lincoln County, to Alfred “Jack” Applewhite and Pinkie Lea Applewhite. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and telling stories. He was an army veteran who served in the Korean War and was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Billy Applewhite and A. D. Applewhite Jr.

Survivors are his daughters, Bobbie Dunaway and husband, Robbie, of Jayess, and Lana L. Applewhite, of Brookhaven; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Mason, Francis Davis and Alice Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
