Curtis Edward ‘Ed’ Moak

Funeral services for Curtis Edward “Ed” Moak, of Bogue Chitto, are Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit with burial at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. David Millican will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Moak, 79, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Countrybrook Living Center in Brookhaven. He was born May 31, 1939, in Lincoln County, to Troy Emerson and Veda Grace Moak.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 48 years, Bonnie Lou Kennedy Moak; infant daughter, Melissa Dawn Moak; two sisters, Sarah Ether Adams and Etta Fay Anderson; one brother, Claude Moak; and brother-in-law, Jerry Dunaway.

He is survived by his brothers, Carroll Moak and wife, Dorothy, Clyde (Ervin) Moak and wife, Bonnie, Calvin Moak and wife, Bernita, Charles Moak and wife, Cynthia, Clayton (Gene) Moak an wife, Tracy, Clarman (Ellis) Moak and wife, Linda; sister, Winnie Nell Dunaway; one sister-in-law, Darlene Moak, and numerous nieces and nephews.
