Funeral services for S.E. Roberts, of Bogue Chitto, are today, Feb. 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Bro. Floyd Higginbotham will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Feb. 12, 2019, at 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Roberts, 85, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born July 12, 1933, in Summit, to Leon Roberts and Lena Boyd Roberts. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with all his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and a loyal friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife of 62 years, Vandeen Moak Roberts; granddaughter, Amy Roberts Fitzhugh; sister, Grace Barr; and brother, Talmadge Roberts.

Survivors are his sons, Myron Roberts, Morris Roberts and Victor Roberts; daughter, Jill Roberts Peak and husband, Ike Peak; grandchildren, Jeffery Roberts, Jessica Roberts, Lexi Peak and Madison Peak; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Samuel and Peyton Roberts, Brendan Harrell, Austyn Hodge and Savannah Sagnibene; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
