GULFPORT (AP) — Police on the Mississippi Gulf Coast are looking for a man they believed killed someone with a machete.

Harrison County Deputy Coroner Brian Switzer tells local news outlets that 39-year-old Frederick Plummer of Gulfport was found dead in a wooded area near downtown Gulfport on Sunday.

Police say Plummer was found after an assault was reported. A murder warrant has been issued for 44-year-old Eli Martinez Medina, who police say killed Plummer with a machete.
