Dress shop owner and designer Liz Morgan spends most of her time catering to her business, Liz-Beth Pageants in Brookhaven.

If looking for Morgan, one can more than likely find her in her element designing, customizing and focusing her attention on swimsuits and dresses. Morgan has spent the last 24 years supporting her business. She is the backbone of Liz-Beth’s, where shoppers can still find Morgan dedicating 60-plus hours a week to this passion and profession.

Not only is she a successful business owner, Morgan is a member of the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, a member of Flora Methodist Church and is the mother of two sons, Scotty and Michael.

“I think of myself as an open book, but what few people know about me is that I’m a big animal lover,” Morgan said.

On the weekends, Morgan spends her time in her hometown of Flora. She enjoys spending her time fishing, a passion completely unrelated to pageant dresses.

Morgan’s favorite food calls for a trip down Hwy. 550 to the Country Meat Market for the main ingredient that allows her to become own personal chef. She’s a pro when it comes to preparing juicy steak.

One thing Morgan claims she absolutely cannot do without is her television. Her favorite show may surprise those who don’t know the clothing connoisseur well.

“‘Naked and Afraid’ is my favorite show. I love it and I love watching it. I like any kind of survival show filmed outdoors,” Morgan said.

One of Morgan’s best qualities is never meeting a stranger and her ability to carry on a conversation with anyone. If you want to put her to the test, just ask her about “Naked and Afraid.”
