The Brookhaven High Panthers (2-5, 1-2) got back on the winning track Friday night as they took care of Wingfield High (1-6, 1-2) 42-19 on King Field in a 5A-Region 3 matchup.

The first half would see Brookhaven struggle with fumbles early. A hard 10 minutes of rain drenched King Field 30 minutes prior to kickoff.

A JQ Edwards rushing score put BHS up 7-0 before Wingfield came back to cut the lead to 7-6.

Senior Byrion Robinson gave the Panthers a lift in the second quarter. Robinson had a rushing score and then made a spectacular catch that resulted in another TD to build the BHS cushion.

BHS led 21-6 at halftime and cruised in the second half as many younger Panthers got extended playing time.

Ole Brook will look to pick up another region win next week when they host the South Jones Braves for homecoming.
