Funeral services for Virgene G. Allmon were on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at the graveside in Union Church Cemetery, at 10:30 AM. Bro. Billy Joe Deer officiated the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Allmon, 95, of Union Church, MS, passed from this life on September 1, 2021. She was born on February 25, 1926, in Hammond, IN, to Linus and Lucille Poinsett. She was a member of Meadville United Methodist Church and also attended Union Church Baptist Church. She was a lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Fayette Garden Club, and she enjoyed gardening and making stained glass. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marion Webster Allmon; and her daughter, Carol Ann Duggar.

Survivors are her son, Tommy Allmon, and wife Jodie; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Daniel Allmon, John Schenk, Clayton Brister, Andy Thaggard, Joseph Thaggard, and Eddie McKinney.
